This is a very good quality piece, and the instructions were clear and easy. I basically now have an Airaid Jr. Kit since I already had a K&N filter installed in the stock filter box. I haven't driven the vehicle enough to comment on any gas mileage or throttle improvements, but will post back when I do. With the stock intake tube and filter box, and a K&N filter, I typically got 19 mpg highway under easy driving conditions. I was a bit skeptical about spending $125 on the MIT, but the throatier sound is worth it to me (and Amazon is great!). I typically don't give 5-star ratings ever....but if it was under $100, I would give it 5-stars. Instructions provided are somehow okay, but even having installed spacers before, I had to call the manufacturer to confirm what side of the spacer will fit with the throttle body. Definitively, instructions can be improved by some margin. Also, since I installed the spacer, my Jeep seems to be running smoother and I kind of like better its new sound--I guess this is a bit subjective. WoodsI purchased this product for my 2003 Chevy Avalanche 1500 hoping to gain a little towing power and better gas mileage. I already have a Flowmaster muffler (also purchased on Amazon)(only replaced muffler no other exhaust mods.), a throttlebody spacer, and an open airfilter. The Avalanche has a computer that tells you the average and instant miles per gallon. After adding the Airaid intake pipe my average miles per gallon went from 15.5 miles per gallon with previous modifications to 15.8 with the intake tube. This is on a 85,000 mile truck that drives almost 50/50 in town and highway. I think that is pretty good since the EPA rating for the truck when new was 17 highway. You also gain a noticeable boost in full throttle excelleration. Some of the hills on the highway that the truck used to downshift on to maintain speed it now powers up without downshift. I think it was worth the money and will eventually pay for itself over time.
